Default exhaust pipe rubbing shock???

hi guys, im trying to figure out what part i need to fix on my nambotin, the pipe(where it meets the silencer)is pushed up against the nitrogen canister on the shock. ive swapped pipes to see if another pipe would fix it and i get the same result and i took the silencer off and it doesnt look bent? could it be a tweaked sub-frame? the sub frame looks good and cant see anywhere it would be bent? can you guys give me some advice???

You are on the right path. Something is tweaked. Try loosening all of the mounting bolts for the pipe and silencer. Move it around and see if you can get it to clear, if not then you are either gonna start replaceing bent/tweaked parts or get creative. The key when installing pipe and silencer is to start all the bolts then install pipe springs then move everything a little and let it find it's happy place. Finally tighten all bolts in pipe and silencer mounts.

Hope this helps

thanks for the help, i tried loosening everything off and putting it together then tightening and it always creeps back to the same location? as i said the sub frame looks fine(not bent or tweaked at the mounts) ive put a high pressure high heat hose arounf the exhaust to seperate the space for now, this wont cause any problems anyway if i leave it this way will it? i mean ill fix it eventully be the bike runs fine right now and ill probably crush my exhaust sometime this year anyway

well nevermind, apperantly there is nothing wrong with it, i was reading an old thread and aflica was saying his nambo is extremely close to the shock as well and something he was going to keep a close eye on. i guess it just ran very tight to the shock with the new bend and the ttx shock

They have always been tight there. Mine is very close to the subframe, but in the rubber coupler area so no big deal.

This thread reads looks more like, "hey guys check out my sweet Ohlins TTX shock, bet you wish you had one!" Or maybe I'm just green with envy. :-)
