Default 2009 EC300R 48mm Sachs Fork Seals

Hi There, Is it true that you can fit 2010 honda crf450 fork oil and dust seals to 48mm sachs fork, I have a 2009 ec 300r (racing model) and how much fork oil does every body run. Thanks

I can't answer the first question because I have not had to replace seals since I replaced them with synergyseals (thank god those ss are a real b!tch to fit) in terms of oil I think I am 120mm, but suggest you check the susp settings thread

Affirmative. The 09 CRF450R onwards (that run the 48mm KYBs - not the showas) will fit the Sachs perfectly. All the seals and bushings will cross over. Back when I last ordered I found the whole kit for $50. Prices have gone up since the Tsnami but if you shop around you might find a bargain.

As for air gap (springs out, fork collapsed) I think specs are between 90-135mm. If you're happy with it as it is now I'd suggest measuring before you drain them out and you'll have a setting to get you back in the ballpark.

We have the Flex-Seals" and new wipers in stock. They perform perfect....no air build up....cleaner oil......can be removed and reinstalled many times over. Our seals will last years......proven for ten years now.
