Cool E-start=200

Can anyone please tell me if retro-fit e-start will work on a 2012 200???

Sure it will, and a lot easier than in years prior. All of the 2012+ subframes are set up for e-start/battery installation.

You'll need the starter motor and gears, the pv cover with the starter motor mount, the ignition cover, the driven gear, a starter button, the harness, battery leads, relays, and a battery of course. If I missed something somebody help out.

If your bike happened to come with a 2K-2 ignition, like my 250, you will need the 2K-3. Seems like GG may have run out of the "3s" for later '12 production. IMO its too heavy for a 200 anyway.

E start kits new in the box are priced as follows:

Nine bills if you're starting from a 2011 or older; $750 for a '12 or '13 (unless you can find a friend who no longer needs/wants his, and then its down to your negotiating skills).

So about $650 +/- plus shipping and duty. Too bad for the home market that gets to pay 600 euros for the kit.

$750.00 is not bad for an upgrade like that!
