on my european 2007 ec300 there was a 52 rear spring (öhlins) and 410 front spring (marchocci) as factory equipment.

changed the front to a öhlins unit asap it arrived so no riding was done with the marchocci.

How did you get the Ohlins so quickly? Is it worth the extra $

What is the spring rate on the Ohlins?

Hi!

I am using 0.41 kg/mm springs in my Ohlins for the 07 EC250 (there is picture in the gallery) and I weigh 83 kg with full equipment. After break in I had to check carefully the sag of the Sachs shock and any front end wash out I was experiencing disappeared. Now the bike is Magic! The Marzocchi felt much softer in the showroom but the difference might all be in the valving. I strongly believe that "you get what you pay for", especially in the case of Ohlins forks.

The Zoke fork is excellent on the Huskys, maybe GG just has some goofy valving. You can't really compare forks unless there setup by the same tuner. I had a Cannondale w/Ohlins and stock it was the worst thing I ever rode.

That is exactly what I need.

BTW, your avtar looks a little light on rebound damping, as I prefer as well.

Every test I have read on the 300 says that the forks are too soft. I weigh about 100Kg (220 lbs), am I going to need stiffer springs? I haven't ridden the bike yet.

yes.
i'm 110Kg & have 0.48's but think they are too much, prob 0.46 would be about right for me for UK terrain. i have a 5.6 rear which feels ok.
