Default Trail Tech Speedo on EC200 or 2T

Hi everyone, well i think my speedo has packed it in. I have a 04 EC 200 with only 500k on it and even with a battery in it (the speedo unit) when i start the bike i get nothing on my speedo? Does the speedo unit need a battery to operate speedo when bike is going? So, im guessing my speedo is dead. Please correct me if i am wrong? So just wondering if anyone is using a trail tech speedo unit. How do go about wiring existing blinkers ect to unit as these currently feed into stock speedo unit. Also any experiences?

Thanks

Nathan

I have a trail rech speedo on my '03 200. It is the Endurance model. I have the stock speedo but have not used it, the previous owner had the same model trail tech speedo on it and he reckons its much better. Havent had to wire blinkers up to mine though so i cant help you there. dont think you can with the Endurance model

I have a Trail Tech Vector on my '04. The sensor threads right into the existing hole in the brake carrier. I ordered the KTM OEM model, 85-101. It has the wrong temp sensor, but I don't use it.

If you want a full dashboard with indicator lights check this out: http://www.trailtech.net/motorcycle_...ashboards.html

Assuming all you want is the speedo to work, then all you need is a sensor w/wire and plug it in. Of course a good battery is required.

Seems Gas Gas uses the Trail Tech Vapor (branded with Gas Gas and in red) on 08's for their OEM speedo now after looking at this pic. Add the dashboard with the indicator lights that eff linked to and your all set.
