Default What model year is it?

I was given an EC300 basket case to put back together and I'm not sure what year the bike is. VIN# is VTXC3000810025. Anyone know the code?

it's an 01 xc300.

10th digit tells year.

Thank you.

I guess I need to change my signature (Done!). I also found out it's an SE not a DE. At least that's what the swingarm sticker says (SE USA). It has the WP fork and Ohlins shock.

I printed off a parts manual from the Spanish site. But there are no 2001 or 2002 manuals available. Anybody know why?

i have never found a manual for my 01 either...

should look like this.. mine is wp's and ohlins 01 xc/ec 300.. the 02 rad shrouds are different, but that can all be changed also.., then in 03 i think the rear number side plates .. mine has both ec and xc markings on it

Sweet looking bike! I have to say it's much nicer than the one I'm putting back together.

It must be a hybrid I'm working on 'cause it has WP forks just like the one in the picture above. And that wouldn't surpise me either. My friend that relinquished custody to me took it apart over two years ago. I'm pretty sure he cannibalized some parts from it to build up an '03.

Thanks again for your help.

sad to say.. that is the day i brought it home.. it was never ridden.. it is not that nice now, but is a great bike..

stainless...that is what i had always thought on the se and ohlins forks, but that 02 red 250 here in town is an se and has wp's... who knows for sure..

i have acutally only seen one bike in those years with front ohlins.. it was gasgasmans old bike and was for sale here locally last year.. i think the bike was less than 1500.. that would not buy the forks.. I should have bought it and took all the guards and forks, swapped them out and re sold it..
