Default Model Year ID

Im trying to identify an EC300 model year . Is there a slot in the V.I.N that would ID the year . If not are there any other ways to ID year of manufacture .
I believe its between a 2003 and 2004 . Any info would be greatly appreciated .

Vincent

Las Vegas Nevada .

Here's a link to a VIN decoder that should tell you the year.

It worked for me, just had to specify make and model - 'GASGAS' (one word )and 'EC300'. Maybe it doesn't work for older bikes.

I think the 10th digit in the VIN is the year. Wikipedia says the year codes are as follows:

Y=2000
1=2001
2=2002
3=2003
4=2004
5=2005
6=2006
7=2007
8=2008
9=2009
A=2010
B=2011
C=2012
D=2013
E=2014

The 10th digit in my VIN is 'A' and the bike is infact a 2010 so this appears correct.

Check your VIN and see what you get.
