week top end?

Hi, ive recently done a top end rebuild on my 02 ec300. It has more compression now, the bike has good bottom end power and awesome mid range (better than before ) but it dose'nt seem to pull so strongly through the top end. I am running 40 pilot 178 main N1EF 2nd from top 7 slide air screw 2.5 turns out elevation around sea level and temps between 10 and 20 deg c.
Could it be cos the mid is so strong now it makes the top feel weeker? or the fact that im running a gnarly pipe? I did try my ltr needle but still had week top end. Any help or ideas please????

Check and make sure the power valves are working properly and that they are timed properly....

When I done the top end I stripped and cleaned the power valve, It all came apart and went together easy enough. Im pretty shure its working, the bike is very fast I just feel that the top end should pull stronger. I have read that the ltr and N1EF needles are rich at the end taper and can make the 300 feel flat at the top. As for power valve timing, is it easily checked and adjusted?

Change the spark plug out & make sure you did not over tighten the power valve connecting rod.

I had the same problem on my last top end.
