Power Valve Cleaning
OK so Ive already taken the carb off to clean that and Ive read you guys usually clean the PV while doing a top end rebuild, but can it be cleaned on the bike? Or does the head need to come off to completely remove it and clean?
Im just trying to get some needed maintenance taken care of while Im doing all of this. |

You need to take the PV off to clean it but you can do it without removing the cylinder.

You'll need to take it out to clean it. Download the manual from this site's front page and follow the instructions, you'll be a pro after you have done it once. 9 times out of 10 the gaskets survive but it's nice to have a set in the tool box just in case. Throw out and replace any worn bearings ect. the parts are fairly cheep.
