Default GasGas EC300 dominates Vic State Offroad round 1 & 2 - Australia

Well, not really, but they did pretty good.

I thought I would put a ride report in just to give you guys an idea of the racing in Australia.

The tracks were all rocky rutted steep single track consisting of 12 minuite sprints. 200 riders including 5 EC300's were there.

Russ uncrated a bike a day before to win Expert. Joel won Clubman and I stole 3rd place in the over 35's thanks to someone missing a corner and getting lost.

Here is a vid of last year at the same track. You only see the low-land plantation stuff. The ruts were alot deeper this year!

Good to see.
I spoke with Don from Scotty's the other day and he said their team went well on the Gassers too(unless it is the same team).
Good work guys, hopefully we will get a few gassers up in the standings in SA soon.
Cheers Mark

Hi Wence, yeah we did ok. We should have put a trade team in this year.
Donny also did retty good in the Expert E2 as well, not that he would say anything. Those three are fast guys and have always let me eat their dust on a midweek ride!!!!

Nice,
I wish we had more places to ride over here. We have to venture your way for our annual week long sojourn.
Look forward to it all year.
Just about to start racing here again( road trials and a few Enduros).
Why don't you and Donny hook up and do the 24 hr over here?
I don't think Donny would take much convincing after I was talking to him the other day.
It is a good experience to say the least.
To paint a picture of it.....
You are riding for hours and then darkness hits, the roadsides that were quiet are now packed with people cheering you on in the middle of nowhere, fires all along the roads and awesome tracks......need I say more?
Cheers Mark

Get on you tube and search VORC, dirtbikeworld or DBW to see Australian terrain at it's best.

The only real shame at the moment is that the top of OZ in the tropics is flooding and the lower states where it should be wet, it is dusty.....but winter is on it's way! Bring on the mud!

Funny, over here it's the other way around, we have mud 10 months of the year then a some dry weather riding, and a couple of weeks of dust

I'm hoping to move to the suburbs of Melbourne, whats the riding like around them parts?

Round 3 - Erica Enduro - Mud, Mud, Mud (but they still ran the dry schedule to make it exciting.) 117 starters and 69 finishers.

5 EC300's started and 4 got class podiums (2 Experts, 1 Clubman & 1 in C35).

And the fifth rider has just put down a deposit on a Nambotin, so he has no excuse next time.

Here is a pic of Russell Walter on the way to the E2 win!
