I think you can conclude there are a lot of different preferences for tyres. We could talk oil next.

True but one of my questions was wether the tubliss was as much of an improvement on the front as it is on the rear. It does seem that most prefer a soft to intermediate tire no matter the brand.

yes, it's as much of an improvement. it allows low pressure front which gives you grippy cornering, and no flats.

I don't know if this tire will work well where you ride But...
I was extremely surprised how well the Pirelli MT16 worked here in Hawaii.
I had tried probably 10 different front tires...some worked ok, others worked better than ok.
The MT16 by far worked better than everything I have tried yet.
Oh and the conditions here are usually in one word "sh*t"
