Default 2010 EC 300 exhaust change problems

Hey guys,
I recently changed to a DEP full system, replacing the original system
For the first ride, it felt great, more responsive and crisp
Second ride it felt like the bike would bog down in 3rd when opening right up, but mostly would clear and rev out
I took it out today, and it just wouldn't rev past half throttle at all.
I played with the mixture screw, which didn't really improve it, so I adjusted the needle, its now on the first notch, and is running better, but nowhere near as good as before.
I'm guessing it needs re-jetting, although this is where i haven't a clue where to go next.
Any suggestions much appreciated.

The DEP pipe probably flows better than the previous pipe.
Try raising the needle. Drop the clip 1 notch.

I tried adjusting the needle, it was on 3, i went to 2, then 4, and then to 1, that was the only setting that would let it rev even remotely close to how it should

If it ran great when you first put the system on, I wouldn't be blaming the change on the exhaust.

Didn't accidentally leave something in the pipe? or airbox/air intake?

Fresh fuel? Fresh plug? Check carby is getting fuel from the tank.

I changed the plug yesterday, and it always has a fresh filter every ride.
I'm going to put the stock pipe on again and see what difference it makes, and go from there.
The only other thing i did at the same time as the pipe was tightened up the slack on the powervalve as it was heavily vibrating, wondering if that could be a problem thinking about it

So, i went through the carb today, all looked good, the jetting i have currently is 38 on the pilot, and 178 on the main. Is this standard?
i put the standard pipe back on, and gave it a run, it felt so much more responsive, so looks like it is the pipe that's messing about

When i took the Dep pipe off, it was covered in spooge at the silencer connection. does that mean its way too rich and needs leaning up? if so whats the best way to go jetting wise?

38 is pretty small and generally an attempt to try got the Std N1FE needle to work worth a dam, which it won't.
Maybe change in pipe exacerbated a borderline situation.

Never jet for spooge. By the time you cure it the bike has siezed.

NEDJ RM250 needle 2nd clip. Probably 40 and 175 to start with is what we put in a mates 2010. Woke it up like crazy. Rectangle carb top. Results may vary, test any change for your gas, altitude, pipe etc.
