Any more info on NExx needles?
On my 2006 300 with AS1 I was running an N3CH, top clip with 42/178 jets and it ran pretty good, but still loaded up slightly at low rpm, which made going from woods to hill climb quite difficult. So I thought I'd try an NECH needle, as they are leaner down low. Now I've run it at top clip 178 main and it's lost a little mid range, so I tried 2nd clip, suddenly rich as hell, so I've dropped to a 168 main, the low and and mid range is there, but at 3/4 throttle it's still a bit rich.
I can't find any information on the actual dimensions of this needle, but I'd like to know where I should be going from here. I'm a bit scared of dropping the main jet any more, are there any NExx needles out there that are just a bit leaner on the final taper area?

A pretty good combo on the 300 is an NEDH clip 3, 42 pilot, 170-175 main depending on region.
I"m actually running your settings on my 18 300 and am about to drop in a 180 main. These new bike like fuel.

How's the squish on the new models? Still a prick / tophat situation?

Have not had it apart. I'm sure there is room for improvement. The new motor has plenty of power that's for sure.

So, after a fair bit of jetting I've come to the conclusions of,
(My race bike) 2006 ec300, necj clip 1, 42/162 https://youtu.be/4fCE8rKm_2Q https://youtu.be/SWtPVZNTCcI https://youtu.be/_gJx3EHEric (My sensible commuting bike) 2002 ec300 nedj clip 2 42/165 https://youtu.be/mglniKaEdV4 This is the cleanest my bike has ever run. I started with an NECH needle and 178 main that I'd used with the N3CH needle. The bike ran best with needle in top clip, so I out the NECJ in at number 2, it still ran rich up too, so I went down slowly, 175, 172, 168, 165, 162. I had to stop at that point as I was entering a land no gasgas rider had been to . So I put the 165 back in and dropped the needle, it ran cleaner on mid throttle, but still spluttered at the top, so then I tried 162 and top clip. DAYUM! She revs perfectly clean and has power to boot. Happiest I've been with the bike so far!
