Default advise please

I'm currently porting my cylinder on my 98 250 and have bought some gaskets for the top end rebuild, Im looking to get more mid -top end power.

I realise that I will have to change the stock jetting ...but I see the needles and pilots seem to be the key to good running as well as a bigger main jet.

I'll have a look at my jet sizes and post them up,but i'm just looking for advise before I bolt it all back together.

I live in rainy ol england 200m above sea level

any ideas or help would be appreciated
thanks
