Have I lost something from my motor

Was cleaning the bike and noticed a shining spot high front on the left side of the motor.

It is a circle like shape dent with holes for bolts on each side that look like they should be used to fasten a cover over this dent.

Looks like I am missing that cover.

Can anybody tell me what this is and if it should have a cover.
If there should be a cover the part number would be great.

No, you have not lost anything. The Gasgas 450 has nothing in there. On the DRZ400, which is sort of the blueprint for the GG engine, that hole is related to the decompressor, as seen is this fiche:

so the gasgas does not have parts 26 27 and 28 on the diagram?

The metal inside the the hole is somewhat shiner than on the motor so I presumed something had fallen off.

That is right. It should look like that, nothing was ever mounted there
