Jetting question?
My 06-300 was running a178 mj,42pj,cck needle. Swapped to a n3eh needle.
Bike runs great, lots of mid range power. However now it will start first kick when cold every time with no choke. Before it was always 2 kicks with choke and it took a while to clean out. Should I go to a 40 pj or will that affect it? I'm at 2000-4000ft,20-25 Celsius . Dave |

Try and come out on the air screw another half a turn or more. If you see improvements move to the 40 pilot (as back at 1.5 turns), and test some more, otherwise if the bike runs sweet and still idles and starts easily once warm then its still pretty good!

Thank you for the tips re needle jetting!
I've owned my 2013 XC300 Gas Gas for a year now and finally after taking your advise about changing to a 2007 Suzuki RM 250 needle jet I am really enjoying the bike. Thank you so much!
