Default Exhaust.

Hello,

I have a 2007 EC300 chassis no VTREC300HO76005 that I'm giving a ground up rebuild. The expansion chamber that I have with the bike just doesn't fit!
Although it can fit on the bike in roughly the right position the mounting holes are no where near where they should be.

The part no on the pipe is B12600100k , it has the Gas Gas raised letters on it.

I phoned up Gas Gas GB to see if I could find out what it belonged to and they said that pipes have all different stampings on, so that was a dead end.

I have checked the part no for the pipe and from 2004 to 2007 the pipe no's are the same BE250326001.
2008 to 2011 is BE850002508

Bare with me !! I have looked at a Gnarly pipe and the part no for 2003 to 2006 is 025056
For 2007 to 2011 is 025095.

So does anyone know what the actual difference is between these pipes ?

I am tempted to go for the 2003 to 2006 but I thought I'd ask here first.

Cheers Bill

Are you using the Rubber isolators with an offset?
GASGAS calls them Exhaust Silentblocks

Hello,

Silentblocks - yes. Whatever way I push or pull these don't line up with the frame fixing points.

Dep sell a front pipe - they list their's 98 to 2007.

Motocross center list a Gas Gas std pipe 2003 to 2011 BE850002508 which is the Gas Gas part no for 2008 to 2011.

I'm wondering if it's a superseded part.

I might get the torch out and see if I can move the mounts a bit to get it to fit for now.
Bank holiday weekend in UK - hoping to finish a few bits and pieces and fire it up !

Cheers Bill

I did a plastics upgrading on my 06. It included a 07 rear subframe to fit the new rear plastics and seat.
I used the 06 exhaust, but had to move the mounting points sideways to line things up correctly. So there is a difference between 06 and 07 exhaust.
