Default Frame OK or tired and pushed in?

Hello everyone.

Just bought 2013 EC300 and when started changing oil, noticed that frame looks strange and was curiuous, is this normal, on frame just got hit hardly so it is pushed in, as 300EXC for example has just round shape, not like EC300.

On one picture I already painted it with antigravel, as it was bare metal..

I would not think that is normal.

Add a skidplate.... it will protect it and cover it up too! :-)

When I was looking for a used GG, one bike I looked at had the lower frame rails bashed in so badly that the lower motor mount bolt had to be left out by whoever had the engine out last.

My '01 XC 200 has the lower rails dinged up a little, but I had no problem getting all the motor mount bolts back in, thankfully.

I'm pretty sure I've reshaped my 2013 frame rails a bit too.. It happens.

My 06 was like that. It had a plastic skid plate. I will never use a plastic skid again. even if the alum ones make more noise.
