45 fork rebuild
Ok just about to rebuild my 45 Marazocchi forks on my 2011 300 r , just wanted to know what weight of oil 5 or 7.5 and what air gap should I leave , also does anyone take the bottom off the forks when servicing or just leave the damper in , any info appreciate

Was told to check for the Teflon wearing on the inside of that ring , mine were ok so in the end I put 7.5 w oil in and left a 105 mm air gap , will test on weekend and report back , they just felt a bit reboundy and harsh on the first part of the stroke , so hope this helps
