Default Shock linkage question

Hi guys,

Took my shock linkage apart to grease. Things look good. With the O-rings removed, I can easily turn the bearings by hand. With the O-rings in place, I can't move the bearings at all . They're tight. Tighter than I would expect.

Is this normal?

The O-rings seem to create a lot of friction.

Jeff

That is completely normal. I assume you mean the inner sleeve the bearings ride on.

Make sure that when you are installing the Orings lightly push the oring edges in all the way. When you press inward on the oring some of the grease will squeeze out around the edges. The entire oring edge needs to be even.

Thanks for the input and tips, guys. You're right eff, I meant that I couldn't turn the sleeve.
