Speed bleeders
I'm not having much luck trying to get a listing for the lines that go from the forks to the bars?
I'm thinking that the difference between the various models would be the thread size of the air-screws that are in the fork caps? So here's my question what is the thread size for the speed bleeders that people use on the fork caps? |

If you have 43mm WP forks it is (4x0.7)

M4 in the Zoke 45 caps, same as WPs without external preload adjustment.

And in case anyone is looking for Speed Bleeders for the Marzocchi 50s
Forget it... or if you know of some that will work let me know. The bleed hole is so close to the cap and counterbored so deeply that none of the bleeders I could find would work. It was suggested to me to drill and tap holes to accept bleeders, but I'd have to look a little closer to determine viability of that approach. The other thing is whenever I do open the bleed screws I hear little or no air escape so I wonder if the dual chamber forks might be less prone to pumping up. I did "hear" that in general the Marzocchis pump up less than the WPs but have no FHE with that theory.

I have never had air build up in my 50mm 'Zoke forks.
I'm not a fan of fork bleeders, they can break off and they let water/dirt into the forks. |

I had a machine shop make some "adapters" so I could put speed bleeders on my XR400.The hole on those forks are machined halfway in the "nut" so the shop just made me a spacer to raise it up I think it only cost $20.

Thanks gasgasman, that corroborates my observations.
