Default top speed

I have a 2006 EC300. I squeezed a top speed of 103KM/H this weekend on a dirt road. That was on the last stretch to the truck to load up. Good to burn the crap out after trail riding 2nd and 3rd for four hours. It is a three km road.

With the stock 13:48 gearing, i'm pretty sure they will do 120km/h. Iv'e seen 115 on the stock speedo on my 200, pretty scary speed on a dirt bike, thats for sure.

i can get just shy of 120 on my 300 with 12/48 gearing, and don't need 3km to do it either!
that is with a GPS

I was into the low 80s (about 132kph) next to a stock 2011 KTM300XCW. Both of us had a bit left over. I am geared down at 13/52 (same ratio as 12/48).

I got my 03 to 87 mph on the road once.. it was on a twisty 55mph zone downhill that leads into town. After that stretch the muffler was smoking for about 10 minutes after I arrived.. I was starting to really worry I had a fire inside the can..

I saw 131 kmh on pavement with my new ec300 gasser last spring. no i'm not saying where i did it, but yes i did it /verified with my gps. last fall a bunch of my buddies and i had a backwoods race on old not used forest roads for about 10 km. i passed 2 550 bergs in the corners, a 570 berg the same way,ran down and held my own with a couple of 530 exc's. everyone involved, had their jaws dropped by just how fast the gassers are. and yes the fmf can was smoking like a cuban cigar for quite a while when we finally pulled over to chuckle about the run!
