rear tail and brake light wiring help

hi all i have attatched some pics of the wiring to the rear of my gasgas ec250 2003 model i brought the bike without tail light fitted im going to purchace a ufo style taillight but can anyone tell me from these pics which is the tail light/brake light wires,i have done a search but most i have read say there should be a yellow and orange wire wich i dont have ?????

The plug in the bottom pic is for the brake/tail light. Black is ground, White is stop light and Violet is running light.

FWIW, the four single leads are for the turn signals and the other plug is for the signal flasher relay.

Dave, got my tail/brake light wired up, brake light works, tail light - no power off the violet wire. is there a switch for that somewhere else on the wiring harness.

i wired black as ground, white as brake, violet as tail light. no go.

Yes, the multifunction (turn signal, horn, headlight, kill) switch controls power to the tail light. PM me your e-mail and I can send you a wiring diagram (it's a fax of a scan of a fax so it's not the greatest).

I'd Just like to +1 Dave on this thread, was going to post the same problem but using Dave's advice Tail Light now working pucka!

Using the DRC LED Tail Light on my '01 EC 300

Wiring is:
EC300 - DRC LED
Black - Black
Violet - White
White - Red

Working a treat, DRC Light is very bright too!
