Marzocchi 45mm settings
Hello everyone.
I have the 45mm front forks. Can anyone confirm rebound and compression factory settings. Also. Compression top or bottom. I always had it as compression at the bottom. But some browsing says compression is at the top. Anyone got a link or a manual to assist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The outer red nut on the top adjusts the preload of the fork spring. (Which is quite rare I think for front forks). Not sure about the dampening adjusters though.

Compression is in the bottom of the fork, often some rubber cap on it. I think, more preload is turning it down, and more compression is turning the screw against the tripple-trees, meaning upwards.

Top is REB @ 11 turns / clicks
Bottom is COMP @ 10 turns / clicks All the turns are counterclockwise from closed Per factory manual. Is you send me your email to can send you a copy of the manual. Last edited by Tbucket; 01-23-2016 at 10:41 AM. |

Preload adjustment is accomplished by turning the red nut. Turning it clockwise adds preload to the spring. The screw in the center is rebound. Screwing it all the way in will have a similar effect to adding a lot of compression, but your rebound will also be very slow. Compression adjustment in the bottom fork lug. Looking at the face of the screw (either by laying on your back or craning your head around), clockwise adds compression damping.

Guys am I correct in saying that on the 2011 Marzocchi 45 Shiver forks as in the above pics the preload (red nut) has to be fully turned in anticlockwise?
My manual says this is the standard setting for these forks. |

I realize this is a very old thread but it’s the only info I can find on these shocks?
I have same same problems as listed above. however, I cannot set the preload on my shocks. For some reason the flat head screw inside the big red adjuster does not reach a fully closed position, no matter how many time I turn it. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or not. I’m very inexperienced with this topic. I’d really appreciate any help. Also, if anyone can help with the manual? |

So start looking for a new fork tube cap.
