Been talking with the seat concepts guys. They want to know if the 12 thru 14 are the same seat. I assume it is not but you never know.

Ive owned a few bikes with ridiculously uncomfortable seats over the years but the Gasser just takes the biscuit People on other forums who talk of awful seats on bikes have no idea just how bad it can get !

The last two 100 mile'ish rides ive done: ive come back and had a few sore spots, coupled with a slightly painful back. Im sure its because in the end i sit off-centre (Both ways) on the bike trying to give my butt a rest and spread the pain around !

Was slightly better this ride, due to some new and pretty well padded trousers. My next purchase will be some padded cycling shorts which im told works wonders for the butt-comfort.........

I have a tall/soft Gutz seat on mine. Waaaaaay better than a stocker. +1 on the cycling shorts...just remember cycling shorts are not all create equal. Spend a bit more for good ones. The folks at any bike store should be thrilled to sell more than entry level gear.

I can only imagine binning the seat altogether and sitting on the subframe would make it 'alot better' !

I have the tall/soft Gutz seat too and it is the best money that I ever spent. A huge improvement. I was wearing padded KTM shorts with the stock seat and it was still uncomfortable. That stock GasGas seat was like sitting on a piece of rough cement.

Did you guys just buy the foam or the entire seat? If it was just the foam, was there any issue getting the stock foam off the base?

My buddy still has the stock Euro 2x4 on his '12 300e...I ride his bike about 90% standing. The remaining 10% is spent standing. It's the only way to avoid monkey-butt on his bike.
