Default GasGas Test Ride Tour 2017

Crossposted so we can discuss. There is no way to reply in the Corporate Announcements section.

Super excited to see you guys put this on Rod. Thanks for the hard work. Disappointing to see no Canadian dates but there is always next year right!...
Question Rod, when the new MY18's hit our shores will you be taking them along with to the events or just continuing with the '17 bikes you have already?

Dover, TN is only 115 miles from my house. Same question, will the 2018s be available on the Dover ride?

I sent Rod a PM and asked what the requirements were for the test ride and his response was.....

#1 Driver License must be presented by rider and will be photo copied by GG.

#2 Age is 18 and older.

#3 Depending on the length of the test ride loop, 3 laps max.

I did forget one thing and not directed at you Zrt but since you opened the door...

We do reserve the right to refuse anyone a test ride, for any reason. That being said and most specifically....you show up smelling of alcohol, or seen with a beer in your hand earlier, you won't be riding a GasGas that day.

Also, a "newbie" to off-road riding is usually easily spotted but sometimes one will get thru the process. We all started somewhere but signing up for a test ride on a 250/300cc 2 stroke, knowing that you have only been riding for 2 weeks on a TTR 230, might not be a good idea. At any point that you look to pose a potential threat to yourself, another rider, GasGas property or the host property, your test ride will end.

I pulled 3 riders off bikes at Round 1. You guys might get a chuckle out of this...

#1 rider simply didn't have the experience to handle a 2 stroke race bike (and she was a MSF instructor)

#2 Was very dangerous to herself and fellow riders on the course, and had very bad attitude when asked to ride responsibly or get off the bike. Is everyone from NJ mad, all the time?

#3 rider "whiskey throttled" a 300 right off the start. He was either too new of a rider, or too stupid to know what the bike was capable of. As I picked him up from the ground, he confessed to have only ridden 3x in his life and that was his brothers XR80.

Sometimes, simply asking "Are you an experienced rider" doesn't always provide you with the entire picture

Fun stuff Ya'll come.
No offense taking at all Rod and All Very Good points. I did get a good chuckle of the 3 riders you took off your bikes.

I am not sure why you chose June 10-11 27th Annual Durty Dabbers National Dual Sport . But to all who attend this event you will come away with having seen the most scenic views of Central Pa . As an added bonus you get to test ride a Gasser ! So if you live near by you owe it to yourself to show up and ride . See you there on my 2015 300 Gasser

Big thanks to Mark Berg and the entire Gas Gas team for making test rides available. I was able to get up to Atlanta Michigan on Saturday and ride both the EC250 and EC300. Other than some confusion regarding the location of the test ride and congestion at the busy trail intersection/gas stop, everything went well. I had a chance to talk with Mark and learn more about the timing of the 2018 models. His passion for the product was evident.
