Default 12' clutch cover on 11' ?

I took the metal clutch cover off my 11' 300 to replace the leaky POS plastic one on my 12' 300.

The plastic 12' cover has a molded nipple that hits the clutch push rod when I tried to fit it up to the 11'.

Can I grind off that nipple and still be able to use it back on the 12'?

I was going to try to slap it back together for some track time this weekend since the 12' is 3hrs away

Yes I would think so.

I put a '14 or '15 cover on my '13. It fit but I did have to grind the casting in the center down. Haven't had any problems after a season of riding.

That's a bummer... the casting that directs oil into the centre of the clutch was the reason I bought it and the additional volume
