your terrain is surprisingly similar to ours in wv... just ours is usually mud/wet or loam + lots of rocks + roots.

That looks like it was made for a MT43 and the Tubliss set up.

Good stuff ... nice and dry
+2 on the trials tire but I bet you have to worry about a sidewall slash in that stuff

Thats cool. We have some stuff similar too, some short sections of long slabs like that. Some of that reminds me of Hawaii too, only dry.

have never tried a trials tire, but i have just bought a 2004 montesa trials bike and have been blown away by the traction those tires have.

running mitas c18 with tubliss and v happy, just need to plushen up the forks now

The MT43 is not really a true trials tire in that the sidewall is stiffer and it's DOT approved which makes it stable at high speeds and also ideal for the Tubliss. I have thought of running a knobby but what I have now keeps lasting and hooking up so well I'm not sure I'll ever switch.
