Default Questions - carb and clutch

I have a 05 300 that now has a 250 barrel and piston on it. I never changed anything else besides changing over the barrel. The bike runs a little rich, great as is. The other day it outran a orange 07 250 by a long way The only problem is that the mid range is sometimes a little strong and I up shift often to smoothen it out.

I was thinking about using the stock jet setting for the 250 and then working around that to try and smoothen it out. Does anyone know if the 300 and the 250 used the same carb?because if they don't, I think it would be pointless going back to the stock 250 jets as a starting point?

On the clutch side, if I am doing a lot of clutch work ie steep rutted hill, the clutch starts making a horrid noise after 10 min and then is fine later (after it's cooled down?) Oil is changed after every 5 rides.

The 250 and 300 GasGas use the same carb. You can smooth out the power on your bike by changing to a different needle. My '05 EC300 makes those same noises when I hammer the clutch. However, I change my tranny oil more often than every 5 rides. I replace the tranny oil after almost every ride. If you want smooth power, try a CCK needle.

CCK is the needle designation and should be all you need.
