I had enough wire to easily move mine to the handlebar. Just had to remove the tank and undo the wire. I was told it was put on the rad hose because that location keeps it from getting accidentially bumped to another position. On my 10 Nambo, I put mine on the bars and then moved it back to the rad hose because I was constantly bumping it.

I have a 2011 EC 300E. My bike was delivered with the map switch ziptied to the radiator hose. Per Clay's post, I pulled off the seat, tank, side panel, and tracked the leads back to the along the subframe until the two wires went into the CDI Box. I couldn't find any additional wiring except for the turn signals, rear brake light etc. Can I get an extension from Go Fasters?

Cut them midway, extend them as needed. A bit of wire, soldering gun and heat shrink is all you need. Mine were too short, but it was an easy fix.
