Default L@@King for an ISDE photo guide!!!

This will be my 11th ISDE as a journalist and I'm looking for a guide for some good photo locations.

I don't need a lot of help just some pointers on getting to some good locations.

What usually works the best is spending a day, usually two or three days before the event starts, to get my bearings.

Also looking for GPS information as well.

Anybody have any names to contact.

You already have a "super sherpa" going with you.
David Klien will gladly show you around.

DK got upset with me on another forum about my US trophy team picks a couple of months ago and I told him we'd discuss it over a beer in New Zealand.

He answered back that he didn't think he was going.

Once the ISDE is over my wife Lisa and I are going to spend another week in Australia. We were there in '98 and are looking forward to that part of our trip.

One of our club members (Ed Keeley) did the opposite.
He went to the Six days in Australia, then went to NZ on vacation.
He mentioned there's no ketchup in NZ.

No Ketchup. Man must be blind, most supermarkets carry Heinz Ketchup, though we normally just call it tomato sauce. You will get dissapointed with our hotdogs, but the beer, wine and food is gennerally top notch.
Looking forward to the ISDE

Time is getting near. Just starting to pack a few items.

Any idea on what we could expect for daily high and low temperatures? What about rain gear?

Well last week it was mid 20 C, (about 75F). However today it looks like a bit of snow. Getting cold again. We have had extremely changing weather with september being real hot and October quite cold and wet.
Wouldn't like to guess for November..... but anything between 40 and 80F.

Went riding up at Taupo on Sunday, had a great day, did about 5hrs of riding with a little bit of rain late in afternoon. Great day.
