Default Cracking at foot rest?

Has anybody else had their gasser frame crack alongside the engine in front t of the left foot rest? This is the second time I've had to weld mine up now and I can't figure why...?

Yup. My 04 has been welded three times. The first time it let go was after a jump during a race and I sacked my nuts pretty good. So far this final weld job seems to be holding.

Try to reinforce it when you fix it this time.

I had mine cracked on a 2007 EC300, but I assume the reason was the risk racing lock'n'load system which i used at this time. I just welded new steel pieces on and I use thicker material, about 3 or 4 millimeters. Never had this problem again.

At least I'm not the only one. Only left hand side though???

I'll make a triangle up to fit the gap and blob it like a madman!

Replace the footpeg pin with a bolt and a locknut just like trials are.
