Default very silly question

I have read the clutch thread and it says to '...place the steel plates with the sharper edges on the outside away from the crank..'

If I am looking at the plates in the engine, should the sharper edges be facing me on the 'outside' of the engine, or the other way around?

Yep they should be facing AWAY from the engine.
