Default 07 EC water pump impellors

Have any of you 07 owners checked to see if your impellors are composite [plastic] or aluminum?

I'll let you know when I get mine, but they have been aluminum since '04 I beleive. Les is out of his alloy high flow impellers but will probably do another production run.

My '04 300 came with the plastic impeller. I recently upgraded to the LTR. Les was out of them but I was able to get one through Hall's Cycle.

The impeller on my '07 is aluminum, but it is of the same design as the old phenolic impeller, that is to say it is not a high flow design. If you feel that you NEED a high flow impeller, I believe that Go Fasters bought out Les' inventory. Good Luck!

So does the hi-flo impeller keep your bike running cooler on long slow hills etc.? Les has one for the FSE too. Would it be wise to install it?

Default Plastic on my "05"

I just removed my impeller, and it was plastic. I have a 2005 GG EC 250.

My 07 had an aluminum impeller, but the vanes were shorter than the LTR impeller so I stuck a LTR impeller in the bike.
