I know the rear sprocket is the same as Husky and DRZ400's.

to the best of my knowledge, rear sprocket is not the same as drz400..
it is the same sprocket as husqvarna but a different axle size i believe..
beta/sherco may have same hubs.... i believe they are ajp..

Might try e-mailing Go Fasters about wheels. Awhile ago they were working on getting some aftermarket wheels/hubs made for the GG bikes. Not sure what became of it but worth a shot. Watch for guys parting out bikes (I think there is a guy in VT right now with wheels available) or the big $$$ route is Talon but not sure even they make wheels for GG.

I guess the notion here is that if the sprocket fits, maybe the hub can work?

A Suzuki sprocket that does fit is from a DR 250 or DR350 from 1990-1995.
I know it fits because I have two for my 2001 xc300
I am not sure if GG hubs have changed since 2001.

I'm looking forward to seeing how you work this out. <<<<<edit> oops, didn't notice how old this thread was

Suzuki made two different DR models in two different sizes during those years: the regular DR and the "S" model. Only the rear sprocket from the "S" model will fit gassers. The sprockets you have must be for a DR250S or a DR350S.

Motogroove,

Look back at my posting from October and it shows what Kawasaki wheels fit for sure and what I speculate will work from some quick research. I forgot to make the update from my test on the later Kawasaki rear wheels as I picked up a 2003 KX 250. That wheel will not fit without some major thought. The 2003 (and I expect newer) KX rear axle was a larger diameter than the one from my 1999 KX 250. While you may be able to find a bearing that will fit the hub and match the GG axle I was not able to verify sprocket and disc spacing. Good luck finding something else that fits and please post if you do find something!

Eric

Could be. I'm just going by the old label I stuck in the back of my manual (attached). I wish I could remember the name of the company... out of the former Soviet Union or something. Nice sprockets and no name.

Thanks to Coopernicus for the KX update.
I posted that other thing before reading all the pages.

dirtstars on ebay seems to be the best idea.
An extra set of wheels would be nice for many reasons.

If anyone has a set of hubs lying around I would consider purchasing them and just having one of these sets I have to choose from relaced. The klx450 wheels I am offered are 500 bucks Canadian and have 3 rides on them and a brand new set of trelleborgs so you can understand why I'm trying to make things work!! I will email go fasters though
