Default pv actuator shaft broken help plz

that little shaft that comes off the triangle part under the rh pv cover has broken off. this happened while riding and i found it by accident, pv is still working because the end of the shaft is still sitting in the hole. i have always been suspicous that it has had too much preload on it as you could hear the pv quite loudly with a quick blip of the throttle at the right rpm. i wasnt broken when i done the topend 20hrs ago although that is probly why its broken i would have weaknd it as everyone nows that are weak

Anyway how do i get the nut off the spline now, i have tryed heating the nut and trying to hold the back of the shaft with pliers (had to give it a go) to no avail, hopefully i dont have to strip it down any help appreciated
