Spring rates for weights info

Hi to all,
I've done the searches and can't find what I'm looking for so here goes,
Personnaly I'm 230 lbs geared up (FWIW gear added 20 lbs) and am needing to know spring rates for my weight. 2006 EC250 w/Ohlins shock & Zoke forks. If someone has a chart that could be accessed to find this info that would make a good sticky for this forum.
I'm going to try to start with getting the springs right and see how good I can make it work, I would like to to revalve in the future but springs have to be right before valving gets addressed.

For enduro. > .44 or .45 fronts

If you up the spring rate you may need to also stiffen up the rebound valving.
That's what I had to do specially on the high speed side of the stack.
I was getting too much pogo on the deeper hits.
You and I are the same weight I went to .45's in the front and a 5.6 in the rear

I've been researching this myself on my '03 DE300 with Ohlin's front and rear. I like the technical trail riding. I bought my '01 250 set up for a heavier rider and it works great. I went for my first ride on the 300 this weekend and although the Ohlin's suspension itself feels pretty good, I was bottoming out the front and could tell it was too soft for my weight. The rider was 150lbs so probably still stock spring and forks.

I'm 6'4"/230lbs without gear so I'm a bit heavier then you. In my thread someone said to put in KX250 in the racetech spring calculator. It tells me .472kg for the front and 5.46 for the rear. I think I would probably need to go with a 5.6 rear spring at least considering

I agree, a .47 or .48 front and a 5.6 rear should do for your weight.
But the problem you will most likely run into is the springs over-powering the rebound circuit which would cause the bike to pogo off bumps, G-outs and that could be dangerious.
If you can't do the work yourself, I highly suggest you send out your suspension to a professional, I hear good things about LT.
Suspension work is the best money you can spend on a bike and if done right worth every penny.

You are indeed correct about the rebound stacks limitation. On my Ohlins I'm down to three click's out from full hard on my rebound adjustment.

I am really new to reworking suspension. Every bike I bought I just rode it the way it was. Well I just bought an 07 ec 250 that was set up for a 205lb A rider and I am a 165lb B rider. Man is this stiff!! How do I figure out what spring rate I need? OR who would you guys recommend that does a good job.

Honuki250- not sure where you are but.....I sent you an e-mail, if we have same components maybe a spring trade is in order ? I need heavier and you need lighter. I have stock set up Zoke front and Ohlins rear....

You could maybe use standard.
0.42 forks and 5.2 shock I think - is that right guys?
