Sachs shock rebuild.
I currently have my shock stripped down to carry out the mod's to cure the known fault with lack of damping. I thought I'd take a look at the valving whilst it's apart. I was surprised how easy it comes apart and it seem very well engineered with no sings of wear, the only thing I could criticize are the rough flashing/burrs on the piston ports, I will smooth this out before it gets refitted.
I recorded the valving for you comment. Anybody have any comments? What oil is best to use? Thanks for looking |
