i'm not sure about a wild300, but on a txt280 there are two units. a fan module and a temp sensor. i believe the sensor can be bypassed by simply joining the sensor input and output wires, or adding a switch that opens and closes the circuit. but the module cannot simply be bypassed.

I ran a hotwire straight from the brake line and the fan stays on all the time. It has worked so far.

One your gonna cook the fan. Two it only needs to be on at stops or really slow like 15mph cruise.

Your having issues with your coolant system for sure man. DO the leak down on the coolant system.

Do you think I would be okay if I mounted up a fuse and added a switch?

again, i dont know about your specific machine, but the fan module on a gasgas trials bike is required and cant be bypassed. i believe it converts the ac to dc for the fan. in addition to the prior posts and their warnings, i think you should look into this. hopefully i'm wrong and its all okay.

I ran a wire from the headlight and added a fuse and an on/off switch. This way I can cut the fan on when I want to. This will help keep it cooler. And for loosing the antifreeze, I think it was my head gaskets. I put new ones in and didn't lose any antifreeze so far. I will see.
