Default Top end rebuild questions

Hello All, I am in the process of replacing the top end of my 2018 XC300 and since it is my first time on this bike and first 2 stroke in a long time I figured I will have at least a few questions for the internet gods.

First question, when cleaning my cylinder I scraped all gasket material from the head including the right side power valve gasket. In doing so the gasket came off in pieces. This did not concern me because I assumed it came in the gasket kit I ordered. Well the gasket kit does have a right side powervalve cover gasket but it is paper thin while the one I cleaned off was about 4-5mm thick. I see on the parts diagram that there is a 6mm gasket shown. The question is why is this such a thick gasket and if it is supposed to be a thick gasket why would a thin one be included in the OEM gasket kit.

Has to be the thicker gasket, to clear the power valve actuator.
I ran into the same problem, thin one won't fit.

The later bellcrank assembly (2015+) protrudes further than earlier models and requires the thicker gasket for clearance.

Seems kinda dumb they don't include that gasket but oh well. Only part hanging me up now. Luckily it was in stock

It is.
I ordered a couple of the thick gaskets, so I won't run into that again.

They gave you the wrong kit buy the sounds of it. The top end kit I ordered had one in it. I will see if I can find the part number.

I?ve been using the back of an axp bashy (cut out with a bandsaw)for a spacer for 250hrs now. The oem items fall apart on removal.

The kit they sent is ME94620CT-CAB-1 and the only top end kit they list at Gasgaspartsguy. It is listed for 14-19 xc/ec 300
