What's the consensus, take the steed back to the dealer or do it yourself?

I received a call from my dealer and brought the bike in. Mine had the wrong nut and the dealer replaced it.

Depends what's easiest for you, and your relationship with the dealer.

I need to check my VIN. Does anyone know if the crank nut has changed over the years? Namely the thread pitch? I have a spare one from around 2013 that I ordered.

Gonna book it in this week and drop off hopefully. The dealer and I have some history, I'm not sure how it's gonna play out. I'll reply with the outcome

I'll ask about the nut while I'm there.

I dropped the bike off at the dealers yesterday, dealer told me that Gasgas have zero stock of the nut that may need to be replaced. I've since bought one elsewhere should mine need to be replaced.

Jakobi, dealer told me that the nut is the same for the 2013.

Why didn't we see any failures on other models if they have been using the same nuts I wonder??

Crossed wires, the dealer told me that the 2103 nut that you bought is the same as the one that needs to be installed on the current bikes.

It should have the groove cut into the corners.

That makes more sense!

Where can I buy one of these 2103 models?
