Don't get too caught up on this guys - this is a pre-production bike. The factory's specs list Sachs forks with updated damping and a Sachs shock with improved oil as stock on the 2011 ECs, but they have not released detailed specs for the estarter 250 and 300s. The shock at least is a reasonable expectation for RACE versions.

Expect that the "off-road only" countries will get the carb mounted choke on the spin-off-top Keihin carb. The FMF Turbine Core silencer in the US for ECs was an importer add in 2010; the factory has gone FMF throughout the range in 2011.

Maybe that was a last minute change. I like it.

From UK web site.....

The new 2011 'CC' models are here! We have the CC250 + CC300 in stock. The 2011 bikes look awesome with the red colour scheme. Also worth noting that the BIG change for 2011 is that the UK bikes return to OHLINS shock and MARZOCCHI forks as standard ! FMF Q silencer as standard and excell wheels!

Wonder if Clay can make this happen for the US bikes as well. Wonder what size the Marzocchi forks are?

It will be interesting to see what forks are on the 2011s when they land in NA in Sept? I truly do not want the Ohlins shock if they are going to put the lower end unit on the bikes. The steel bodied Sachs shock is a better quality unit than the cheapy Ohlins that GG has used in the past.

Red face First Ride Brown Mountain NC Saturday

I' ve got the handguards on and the sag set. I am driving over to Charlotte tomorrow for some laps on a grass track at my fiiends house and then off to Brown Mountain for the week end for some single track riding down off wounded knee, over to horse power hill then back across foot peg gouge. Should put about 50 miles of single track each day. I'll let everyone know how it went.

from the Spanish site regarding 2011 EC250/300:
"Newly adjusted Sachs 48 front fork"
"Sachs shock absorber with new improved oil"

Maybe the UK gets all the leftover parts and everyone else gets the new stuff.

The export manager promised me that I would have a spec sheet early next week that would give me all of the details on which components come on each model. I will post it here when I get it.
