My husky had marzochi forks, loved them. rode an '07 GG last weekend with marzochi forks, loved it got back on my KTM (worked suspension) and it sucked All the violent hard hits were just dulled out, they were still there but all the impacted was gone, I was sure hoping for that on my GG that I have had on order almost 2 years I was a little disappointed hearing that it may come with sachs after feeling again how nice the marzochi's are and feeling the difference back to back with my WP.
Cheers, Rob |

Ordered it from Hall's and they have been very nice and apologetic about it. When the 2010 didn't arrive I just told them to let the deposit ride on the 2011. |

I see. I think the e-start is a sure thing for 2011 and you will be riding by X-Mas. Hey you getting any interest on that deposit money LOl? They are sweet looking bikes I just couldn't wait and got the 2010 EC300, awesome bikes.

First Ride complete
Here is what I can tell you so far about the bike and what it was compared to while riding. My 2010 300 six days has the TTX cartriddge fork and TTX shock, My friend has a standard 2010 ec 300. We rode them earlier in the week and the stock marzochi seemed to have a plusher ride up front while the ohlins shock was a bit harsh compared to the sachs but this could be due to its not broken in yet. Then my friend had his suspension serviced and valved by Ulrich suspension and there is definetly a difference. The sachs stuff worked great over rocks roots and single track at brown. The new 2011 ran very well, I really didn't use the electric start much because its so easy to light up with the kick start but when I did push the maginc but it worked flawlessly. There is no comparison between the stock suspension and the ohlins TTX stuff and the sachs can be made to work very nicely. I rode both bikes back to back. If I were to compare the completely stock suspension with no valving I would prefer the marzochi fork and sachs rear shock. If you have a 2010 and your not comfortable with the Sachs stuff give Ulrich a call he done some good work on the 300. I really didn't push the bike hard because its not mine and I wanted to take care of someone else's bike. The only other thing that really comes to mind is the bike ran rich but I didn't make any jetting changes to the bike at all again because its not mine. I would to thank the guys at Gas Gas for their customer service and allowing me to ride a new bike. The good news is, Clay called Sunday night and my 300 is fixed, I pick it up today. I will miss the new bike but I can't wait until I get mine back.

Thanks for the quick 2011 ride report. I know they will appreciate you just riding the bike and taking care of it; very nice. So what was wrong with your six day? BTW a complete report on your repaired six day would be great. Thanks, John

John01,
What suspension setup did yours come with? Happy with it out of the box or have you had it tuned? I just started riding dirt again at 50 (two years ago) and find that I just can't take the suspension beating like I could when I hung things up at 20 I am lucky in that i can afford a TTX upgrade, but I would rather not if I don't need to, know what I mean? Thanks Rob |

Rob I am 51 myself and I love the stock suspension. My 2010 EC300 came with Sachs front and rear. I will say I have been riding MX bikes and this bike is way plusher. I went to Busco Beach this past weekend. This place has lots of sand, hills, MX, trails you name it and the bike was just awesome. I just took and backed off on the front clickers 4 clicks and thats it. I may end up later just for the heck of it have something done or just go with the TTX myself. I really can't belive it can be much better, but I know it can be, and the rest of the bike is more than worth the added cost. I was told and read the stock front set up is harsh. I was thinking I would do something right away but at this point I am all stock and the front was felt more stiff than harsh but not the lest bit punishing. I am 10 weeks out from five broken ribs, busted spleen and I can ride my bike until I run out of gas LOL. These are really great bikes stock.
