Default Needle for 2012 EC300R (Extreme Enduro)

Hello.

I need to change my needle on my 300R due to wear.
I have been running with the N3EG needle, 42P and 175M for some time (Years)
AS2 model.
Sweden, 15-25C, Sealevel.

I run on our own very technical slow and quite horrible track.
Steep rocky hills with no grip, rockgardens, long muddy ditches and so on.
Never use full throttle and lots of pit turns and stepping of the bike to lift it in place.

2 issues I have had.

1:Idling.
Idles fine in the pit. On the track it goes to high idle, then very low idle after a blip.
Doesn't really care if I change the AS.

2. Fuel leak.
I might have fixed this now(Today) after reading the Awsome guide here on the Float level issue.
Maybe this was causing the issue in 1.

I tried the N1EF needle today and that thing is horrible, but not scratched.
10% throttle and bike runs nice, 11% and it shoots of like a canon.

Should I buy a new N3EG or is there something else i can try that give a very calm and strong bike in the 0-1/2 throttle range.

Thanks =)

I had a needle get scratched. Must have got some grit stuck. Jammed throttle too. Scratched the next needle too. Do check. Actually check the jet is round they can wear. I'd look at a STIC block if it had worn.

Otherwise try the RM250 needle, always forget if its NEDJ but we all run it here. Dont be afraid to replace the float valve they do wear and it's not obvious

Ohh yeah.
I went into one of our mud ditches, drowned it and the bike ate mud
Float valve looks fine and is still nice and springy.

NEDJ. Check.

Will google Stick block.

+1 on the NEXX needle. I used to run an N3EH and that was a much more fun needle, bit more motocrossy, but not what you want for extreme stuff

Check needle has no new scratches which would indicate damage to jet. Magnifier and bright light. If it's free from damage and completely round it's ok. If ovalised needs changing.

My friends float valve looked ok, we cleaned and polished the seat. Was ok. Then leaked. I put a 2nd hand valve in and ordered a spare. Been fine since.

The fuel dribbling have been the standard GasGas issue.
Bike standing straigh = fine.
Some lean to bike = overflow.

The float was touching the top of the bowl.
