Hi Nick, if smooth power delivery is what you're after then i think the Suzuki needles are for you! They have a longer straight section and more progressive first taper, so leans the bottom end nicely.

I originally had N1EG (AS1, 35PJ, 178M, 2nd clip from top, UK climate 0-1000ft) in mine and have now replaced with NEDJ. Originally it was very rich and burbly up to about 1/4 throttle and not nice to ride down there. Now it has cleaned up a lot at these low throttle openings, although its still a work in progress with room for more improvement (currently 42PJ, 182M, middle clip).

I know the main can be dropped, but having just got into this jetting game i wanted to play it on the safe side! Seems to run ok up top considering. I think a smaller main may even give a slight benefit at the lower throttle openings also - also need to assess airscrew effects up to 1/8 throttle.

The suzuki needles are a vast imrpovement over stock ones, so go for it. I ordered mine through the local suzuki dealer and it arrived next day, all for just over a tenner Quick search on google, and partno. for NEDJ is 13383-37FM0.

Im no jetting expert but certainly noticed a big benfit from this mod.

Check your throttle free play, you could have the slide off the deck, it only takes a couple of mm to lean out the pilot circuit.
