Default 2010 Sprockets

Hi Everyone,

At 3000km now and both sprockets and the chain have seen better days. Will be replacing all of the above.

Can anyone indicate other makes or models of bikes/cross over parts that can be used. Basically I'm looking to do some shopping around online and trying to get an idea of what will fit and what won't.

Thanks
Jake

Its definitely the more expensive choice, but mine have lasted a looong time.

As far as crossovers go.

With the front your out of luck, its specific to Gasgas and Sherco.

The rear is the same as all late model Husqvarnas, apparently the sprocket off a Suzuki DR250S will fit, iv never tried, its never been hard for me to get sprockets with Gasgas written on the package.

Talon, Renthal, Afam, Supersprox, Ironman and Esjot all make sprockets for Gasgas, thats a few I know off the top of my head.

You probably wont find many listings for gasgas specific parts, but if you email a dealer that you know is slightly clued up, they will be able to source them from the distributor.

Funny you both mention the two sites I came across using google. Was well aware of Mainjet and have had good service from Keg previously.

Prices vary a bit but I guess life/wear does also in most cases.

I'm leaning towards this: http://www.mainjet.com.au/product_in...337eb6995d8abe

The Suzuki DR250S and DR250SE sprockets do fit (had one on the 300 gasser I just sold) but not the standard 250 sprocket (DR250) - must be that S or SE model. Here's the SunStar link: http://www.sunstar-mc.com/searchresu...odNum=2-363143

I got a supersprox 49T rear from Scotties. Great service and a great sprocket. It's lasting very well - also replaced chain and front sprocket at the same time - front has long since been replaced again, chain needs replacing some time soon - rear is still looking good.... I have always believed in changing rear sprocket and chain at the same time, but this rear is definately out lasting the chain.

I also tried a Ironman front - it was expensive and didn't last any longer than the OEM Talon. I replaced it with another Talon.

Those Talon fronts are crap IMHO.

I got the kit from Keg. 50T rear still going, front needs replacing.
Makes the ST heaps more fun than a 48 i think.

Cant belive your still on the OG chain and sprockets

They are proper farrked though.. I ended up ordering through Scotties today.

Talon 13 Front
Stealth 49 Tooth Rear
Gold DID X-ring chain.

Cost a small fortune but should be good for a while. Its not unusual to go through a few fronts to a rear. I was trying to toss up between the 48 and the 50 tooth rear. I like the way it rides on the 48 but you know I like to try new things all the time Will report once its done!

I had the same experience too, plus the Talon is a better fit than the Ironman. The Ironman had a lot of play on the splines and the Talon doesn't.

Yes, I thought that also. I'm not anti Ironman, but for the extra price I expected it to last longer. My riding conditions don't vary that much, so I think it's a reasonable comparison.... you can only go with what you find

Jakobi - I was also tossing up wether to go 50T, but I didn't want to go any slower, and I find the ratios already close enough, if you know what I mean. GG3 has tried gearing alot higher than the norm, to kind of "spread out" the ratios... i think he's quite happy. He posted about this a while ago.
In the end, 1 tooth here or there, out of 50, isn't going to change the world !
