Default House of Horsepower kit has arrived!

Good news: My cone pipe, guard, silencer, slide and jets have arrived from House of Horsepower! Cannot wait to get them installed!

Bad news: I have a horrible chest cold. I think I'm going to have to summon some inner strength here to go install it and fire the beast up.

I've heard so many good things about this setup. And round 9 of our
local hare scrambles series is this weekend!

All bolted up - looks incredible and sounds nice and throaty.
Can't wait to rip it out in the woods!

Are you running the Lectron too Memphis?

You said cone pipe in your post, I'm assuming that's the muffler. Does it have a spark arrestor? I'd be interested in upgrading my bike's exhaust one of these days.

Hey GG,

Richard at House of Horsepower actually makes a cone pipe - looks like a Scalvini, but better - more sections and much thicker metal. He makes a custom carbon fiber protector for it that is very nice. The silencer that goes with it is much shorter (and lighter) than the stock FMF Q Stealth. These goodies combined with a new needle, a whole new slide and some jetting changes are supposed to really wake the bike up. It certainly sounds nice.
My silencer has a screen on it - I assume this is the spark arrestor? Pretty sure I'm going to remove that.

The whole setup installed on the bike looks very "custom". The pipe itself tucks up tighter to the bike, but is not as voluminous where it passes under the radiator shroud. Very high quality piece of work from these guys.

There are other threads on the forum here where folks have posted pictures and reviews - worth checking out if you are interested.

It was somewhere just north of $600 and then there was shipping on a pretty good sized box.
Sorry I'm not more specific - I had an existing balance with HoH for a brake caliper mount and shipping that was included in the total.

Makes sense. Didn't catch that you also said silencer.

600+ dollars doesn't sound too unreasonable for a hand made pipe, guard and silencer. As well as a slide and whatever else you got.. that's beginning to sound like a bargain.

I did not have the Lectron. I stuck with the stock carb. He tried like hell to get me to buy one but I have a few buddies that run them and they are constantly fiddling with those silly things. Plus I didn't have a spare $400 at the time.
