Default YZF250 front end, will it fit?

Hi folks,
I have access to a whole front end off a alloy frame yzf, with closed cartridge KYB (?) forks.... at a good price....
could i use these as a nice start for a mx front end/upgrade from sach's ??????
yet to start ripping things apart, but to the eye looks close....
any links, (im sure someone has tried) comments?, is it worth the swap?

What year Tyson? From all accounts if you take the whole triples, front wheel, and brake caliper setup the it shouldn't be much more than maybe a different set of head stem bearings. Getting the GG front wheel bolting up takes a bit more finess. KYB SSS verrr nice. Whats happening with the rest of the bike?

Absolutely worth the swap, but pay attention to the axle stand-off to the fork centerline and start thinking about how to address the steering stop issue.

Here's a link to my swap if you haven't seen it yet. It would be a quick swap if you take the Yamaha wheel and brake stuff too. Don't forget to fashion some sort of steering stop for the forks.

What years/models of Yams had these forks fitted? Is it just the 4 strokes, or 2 strokes as well?

06+ YZ125 and YZ250 two strokes also use the SSS fork.
