Default Is GasGas getting boring?

My GasGas does every thing right, it steers and brakes great, the 2011 engine with 1 base gasket has good bottom end and over rev, even compared to my last EC300 with more base gaskets and a machined head. The little updates on the new frame are well thought out with bash plate and rear expansion chamber brackets. 1 piece fuel tank is good and I could talk about the starter motor (which I said I would never get) for hours.

Is the GasGas EC range starting to become the WR450F of the 2 stroke world - the bench mark for a consistantly good and reliable bike that anyone can ride well?

But does this come at a price of being a boring mainstream bike?? Lucky KTM are massively discounting their 2010/2011 models down here in Australia to help keep GasGas a boutique brand and a bit more of an exclusive club.

Definitely not for a first-time owner like me. Right now between getting it jetted and just plain admiring its great looks I have plenty to keep me entertained. My concern is staying entertained until the trails clear so I can see what all this hooplah is about.

Hence the specialty Six Days, Nambotin and Cervantes trim lines and hard parts.

Boy, never thought I would hear someone refer to Gasgas as boring!

I've owned many bikes: XR's, KDX's, KTM's, WR's, etc. and have to say that the Gasgas is in a class by itself IMO. Smartly engineered, reliable, performance oriented, great to look at and still EXOTIC!

I live a pretty boring life, so having my exotic mistress, the DE300, keeps the flame alive!

MY 07 is anything but boring. I am however getting sick of the pegs hitting stuff. I gave up on the low boy pegs years ago. Lately I have been lusting after something with more ground clearance.
