Can the seat base be modified (shortened) to enable it to fit?

Not sure....I did not try that because Clarke will eventually have a tank. Plus cutting the seat is more expensive in the long run than making a new aluminum mount!

What about fitting tanks on 07" 2 stroke models? Any feedback here?
